Scouter’s Guide and Forms

The Scouter’s Guide has important information for your HSR experience. Please take the time to read it carefully. Download the HSR Scouters Guide below.

Revisions for 2019 include:

  • Safe water activities and First Aid reminders
  • safe food storage, handling. Preparation and cleanup
  • Safe camping
  • Revised Permission to shoot form

The following forms will be needed

  • Parent/Guardian Consent The scouter-in-charge must have a completed form for everyone at camp
  • Personal Fitness Certificate A copy must be provided at check-in for use by our medical staff. Forms will be kept in a locked cabinet at the clinic and will be returned at the end of your stay. The scouter-in-charge must have this form for everyone at camp and should discuss medical concerns with our medical staff at the Skippers’ meeting on Sunday morning.
  • Emergency Plan This must be completed and shared with the Group Committee and Group Commissioner. The Scouter in charge should have a copy at camp
  • Camping/Outdoor Activity Form This must be completed and shared with the Group Committee prior to leaving for camp. The Scouter should have a copy at camp
  • Incident Report Form This form is completed by group Scouters when an accident occurs at their site.
  • Camper Roster – This form must be completed in full with the details for all campers attending at any time during the stay, including swimming ability, and must be presented upon arrival at the HSR. myscouts users can use the membership listing report and copy appropriate columns.   • Permission to Shoot This form is required for each person ages 11 and older to use the rifle range. Forms must be submitted at your rifle session. Download below.
  • Boat and Motor Form This is required if you are bringing your own boat or motor into the HSR.
  • Individual Release Form. This is required for all INTERNATIONAL campers and non-members and must be submitted upon arrival.
  • Physical Fitness Form for non-members. This is required for all INTERNATIONAL visitors and non-members and must be submitted upon arrival.
