Woodland Trails Scout Camp

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Due to the unimaginable events that are happening globally in regards to Covid-19, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel all of our summer camp programs for this year.

This includes Camp Samac Summer Program, Camp Adventureland and Haliburton Scout Reserve.

We do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause however safety for everyone is our number one priority.

Thank you for your patience and understanding and we look forward to hosting you in the summer of 2021.

Woodland Trails Scout Camp has 8 campsites, 5 villages, 4 lodges, the Cabooses and 2 large activity fields which are spread out over 275 acres of breathtaking landscaping. It is appropriately called "The Camp For All Seasons" since each of the four seasons brings with it its own unique features. Why trudge through the snow when you can snow shoe on the camp's trails.

There's no better way to beat the summer heat than taking a dip in the Olympic-sized pool. And a quick jog through the obstacle course helps you to forget about fall and spring's chilly mornings.

Woodland Trails features a mountain biking course. The course has two levels of difficulty - one longer and more challenging than the other. We will supply your group with all the gear they need and our staff will help your kids throughout the course.

For the more adventurous, we have a high ropes course and climbing wall. This has the potential to be the show-stealer of your weekend. Your members will get the thrill of a lifetime by climbing their way up the ropes and challenging themselves to reach their limit. Our trained staff will guide the members through the course and help them along the way. This is perfect for all ages, Cubs right up through Rovers. Even adults will get a kick out of it!

For winter, at no extra charge you can reserve snowshoes when you check in with the Camp Ranger. Follow the marked trails or simply head out cross country. There are animal tracks, maple syrup lines, and much more to be found once you are off the beaten track. And do not miss the opportunity to have a "trail lunch" at one of the several back lot campsites. Perhaps the best feature of this camp is its location. Woodland Trails is located a mere 50 kilometres away from Toronto. That means that you can "get away from it all" in less than half an hour!

Be sure to ask the Camp Ranger about purchasing your own bottle of Maple Syrup tapped directly from the trees in our lush dense forest, or, if you would like to purchase some bottles of syrup in bulk as a fundraiser for your group, please send an email to:
